Food allergy mama on a mission to help keeps kids stay safe

As a single mom of a toddler with multiple food allergies, I realized that there is a big world outside of the Top 8 food allergies. And when it came time to look for custom products to alert people to my son's many and unique allergies there was nothing. So I decided to do something about it.

With my son being allergic to gluten, dairy, corn, peanuts, legumes, and refined sugar. I needed a way to safely communicate how to help keep him safe! It all started with the food allergy cards. I designed them for his daycare, his grandma, and his caregivers. Then I found myself handing them out to the soccer team, team mom, church staff, friends, and the waitress at a restaurant. (Let's get real going to a restaurant is TERRIFYING! and something that was rarely if ever happening) Not only did I hear how helpful they were but they were a game-changer. But another big change I saw was in my son. He wanted to hand them out. He wanted to tell people about his allergies. I saw his confidence soar and at barely 3 years old he was PROUDLY advocating for himself.

My goal with all of my products is to help children (everyone really) realize they are not alone in having allergies! Having allergies is not a negative thing. And to help take the shame and fear out of talking about allergies. I also am crossing my fingers to help normalize allergies. To help educate our communities and to help make them safer places for everyone. Seeing children smiling and advocating for themselves is a VERY BEAUTIFUL THING! It is time to empower ourselves and our children to rock their food allergy awesomeness!
